about

Tom Jarmey serves up five weighty broken beat jams for the Lobster Theremin white label series.

Tom Jarmey is an artist whose been bubbling over the past few years with a string of eclectic discs for labels such as 13th Hour & Shadow City & more recently his acclaimed debut album ‘Amber Glass’ via Lobster Theremin’s sister imprint Distant Horizons. His latest outing sees him serve up five weighty broken beat, jungle infused cuts for the Lobster Theremin white label series, delving deep into all things UK rave related.

EP opener ‘Lurk’ is a breaksy masterclass, choppy drum sequences meet graceful synth patterns on this nostalgic banger. ‘Renegade’ continues where ‘Lurk’ left off, breaks meet breaks and Tom’s unique spaced out synth patterns are ever present. On the flip you have ‘Long Dark Tunnel (Light At The End Mix)’ a more electro driven number, crisp drum hits & rave driven synths meet pulsating basslines. ‘T-1000’ brings the tone down slightly, marching percussion and floaty pads merge to create a laid back jam for them early morning sunsets. EP finisher ‘Out Of The Blue’ is nothing short of blissful, angelic vocals sit with epic soundscapes and warm bass tones to see the listener out.

‘Lurk’ EP drops Friday 27th November, via Lobster Theremin
